The Tower


I was using multiple decks when I first got into the Tarot and each one of them seemed to be showing me the Tower every other reading. This was maybe seven years before my spiritual training. I didn’t fully believe in the Tarot at the time, I thought it was just basic psychology with flexible messages, much like fortune cookies. 

But one card persistently demanded my attention and only when my life began to crumble did I understand what the Tower tried showing me all along. Much like the image of the card, life crumbles and if you don’t heed the call(The Tower will let you know ahead of time), you will be seemingly trapped in the rubble. This card is one I tend to associate with tornadoes. When this card shows up, in my experience so do dreams of tornadoes. 

We often go through a major shift in life when the card reveals itself. And it will persist until you address it. Or, when everything falls apart, it won’t show up as often because the lesson has already begun.

The Night I Knew(Casa Grande Domes)

The night I knew, was October 13, 2022 around 10pm. It was about to be my 36th birthday.  My teacher had taken me and a fellow student to the Casa Grande Domes. The land was cursed by the ancient Hohokam people, sometime in the 14th century, in response to the desecration of sacred sites. Construction started in 1982, originally intended to become an electronics headquarters, though the project was abandoned and the company went bankrupt.  So the three of us arrived at the domes around 10pm. As soon as we opened our doors, we were swept over with an invisible fog. Its presence was dark and heavy. The other student had a spirit app on his phone, and as we made our way closer to the domes, "Purgatory." The Eyes in the Sky

Local lore says that there are eyes in the sky. At first, I just thought I was looking for satellites, but damn  was I wrong. When I first came to Globe, maybe 15 years ago, it was for one week, and I was talking with an elder who told me to keep looking up every night if I wanted to see what he was talking about. He called them "Eyes in the Sky." I lost interest the first night after 10 minutes. Though I did see what I could now consider a small drone from 2020 technology.  Fast forward to 3 years ago and I was with my friend at a Kava bar in Tempe. We had two drinks and walked it off at the cemetery across the street. On our way out, I felt a sudden sense of peace wash over me. An unusual amount. All worries faded.
